If you’re new to Tyler, Wolf is the perfect starting point. It’s raw enough for the Bastard fans, but smart enough to hint at the genius he would become. It’s a long album (over 70 minutes), but it earns every second. download tyler the creator wolf
And then there’s “48” and “Colossus” (a masterclass in storytelling that echoes Stan ), which prove Tyler is more than just shock value. Of course, you still get the chaotic bangers: “Domo23” is pure aggression, and “Jamba” (featuring a hilarious Hodgy Beats verse) is just stupid fun.
