Ghosts S01e14 Openh264 [exclusive] -

“Open House” proves Ghosts can balance door-slamming silliness with genuine heart. It’s a testament to the show’s core idea: home isn’t a building—it’s the (after)lives you share it with.

If there’s a minor flaw, it’s that Jay is once again sidelined—his “meet the buyers” subplot feels like a B-story in search of a joke. But Utkarsh Ambudkar’s earnest frustration remains endearing. But the episode’s real magic is in its quiet final act

But the episode’s real magic is in its quiet final act. After a potential buyer makes an offer, Sam has a heart-to-heart with Isaac (who’s been sulking all episode about being “stuck”). Isaac admits he fears being forgotten if the house changes hands. Sam’s response—“You’re not the house. You’re the people in it”—is a lovely thematic bow. She turns down the offer, choosing the chaos of the B&B over the certainty of selling. and most quietly emotional outings.

The standout sequence is a masterclass in farce: a family of four tours the house while the ghosts trip over each other trying to prank them. Alberta’s singing causes a chandelier to sway, Trevor accidentally flips a laptop open, and Pete—bless him—tries to “helpfully” guide a lost child back to his parents, forgetting he’s invisible. It’s chaotic, physical comedy that recalls classic Ghosts (UK) at its best.

After weeks of near-misses and hilarious half-truths, Ghosts finally delivers an episode that asks the big question: what happens when someone actually wants to buy the haunted B&B? “Open House” is a deceptively simple premise—Sam and Jay host a real estate open house to gauge interest—but it becomes one of the season’s smartest, funniest, and most quietly emotional outings.
