What followed was an hour of television gold. Vincent cooked the snails anyway. A screaming match erupted about jungle etiquette, respect, and starvation. When Kian tried to mediate, Vincent accused him of "playing the hero."

The camp was split down the middle. Vincent and Joey wanted to hunt for snails to supplement their rice and beans. Kian and Steve said no—they had been told by the producers that the snails were unsafe to eat raw.
