MrChromebox maintains support for dozens of devices, from Haswell (2013) to Comet Lake (2020). Audio, touchpad, and GPU acceleration just work on most mainstream distros.

Back up your stock firmware first (the script offers this). And check the supported devices list – Bay Trail and some ARM models are limited.
