Romeo And Juliet Act - 3

As Mercutio dies, he delivers the play’s most ominous curse: “A plague o’ both your houses!” —damning the Montagues and Capulets for their senseless feud.

Romeo, now secretly married to Juliet (Tybalt’s cousin), refuses to fight, declaring, “I do protest I never injured thee.” Mercutio, disgusted by what he sees as Romeo’s “vile submission,” draws his sword on Tybalt. Act 3 of William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet is widely considered the dramatic climax and turning point of the play.
