They said she hoarded sadness. The Queen decreed that Seren’s wings be sealed—half in the light, half in shadow—so she could never leave the Neverwood. She became a secret, a myth.
Seren’s wings unfolded fully for the first time in centuries. They were magnificent: vast, iridescent, each scale holding a different forgotten memory. When they moved, they left trails of soft, forgotten lullabies.
