The sun is high, the cicadas are screaming, and the latest patch for the indie slice-of-life/adult VN Summer Heat has landed. Version 0.6.1 isn’t the massive content drop that 0.6.0 was, but as any seasoned early-access follower knows, the “point-one” patches are where the real polish happens.

A major complaint from 0.6.0 was that the water shader looked more like Jell-O than H₂O. The new shader (labeled “AquaReal 0.3”) is significantly better. Splash effects no longer clip through character models, and there’s a subtle refraction effect on submerged limbs. It’s a small technical win, but it sells the summer illusion.
