In the real world, Kordell wakes up, calm. He focuses his power and releases a directed pulse that shatters Echo’s device—and sends Echo flying into a support pillar, unconscious. STAR LABS – NIGHT Kordell agrees to let Cisco build him a dampening collar so he can control his abilities. He sits with a new saxophone, playing a soft, melodic tune. the flash season 8 episode 17
He phases into Kordell’s mind. Inside, it’s a storm of broken melodies—jazz riffs twisted into screams. Barry finds Kordell as a boy, playing a lullaby for his mother.
Barry zooms off to find Kordell before he hurts anyone else. Barry finds Kordell arguing with a group of paramedics trying to help him. Kordell’s voice trembles. “He’s not a weapon
POST-CREDITS SCENE: In a dark lab, Echo’s broken device is collected by a gloved hand. A voice (possibly Red Death’s or a new big bad) whispers: “Frequencies can be rebuilt. So can speedsters. Phase two begins.”
Suddenly, a new sound pierces the tunnel—a high-frequency whine, artificial. It’s coming from a hidden device planted by a mysterious figure in a hood: , a former ARGUS sonic weapons specialist who wants Kordell to lose control. Echo reveals he’s been amplifying Kordell’s powers remotely, using him as a living bomb to destroy the CCPD and STAR Labs. Barry is suited up but restless
Echo triggers a frequency cascade. Kordell screams. A shockwave tears through the subway, collapsing the tunnel. Barry wakes up trapped under rubble. His speed is flickering—every time he tries to vibrate through debris, a counter-frequency from Echo’s device disrupts his molecular cohesion.
