I’ve been exploring ways to bridge (WALS – World Atlas of Language Structures) with modern NLP (RoBERTa), and wanted to share a draft post on the idea. 🧠 The Core Idea WALS gives us fine-grained typological features across thousands of languages (word order, phoneme inventories, negation strategies, etc.). RoBERTa gives us powerful contextualized representations from large-scale text.
